We cultivate and shape Viennese hospitality à la Landtmann.

From 1988, Berndt Querfeld and his parents perfected the "Landtmann style" in the tradition of the typical Viennese coffee house. In the following years, the family took over other cafés and successfully brought the Viennese pastry culture from the parent company into effect. Since 2006, "Landtmann's Original Bakery" has been supplying to all the cafés from a large bakery in Alt Erlaa: Café Mozart at the Albertinaplatz, Café Residenz in Schönbrunn, the Café Museum, Landtmann's Jausen Station in the Crown Prince Garden of Schönbrunn, Das Bootshaus on the Old Danube, and the Napoleon in Kagran. Every business of the Querfeld family is geared to their individual potential with a great deal of feeling and taste. The Landtmann is no “museum” coffee house, but a lively place of encounter. All locations are run by family members and great coffee house staffs.

Even now that I am already retired, I spend a lot of time at Café Landtmann. I greet the guests, some of them I've been knowing for many years. I make sure that we meet people's expectations of our Grand Café. The coffeehouse has to shine, the clothes of the employees have to fit perfectly. In short, I pay attention to tidiness, style and elegance.

Hobbies:

Going hiking in the mountains with friends all over the world. Climb the highest peak, go hiking trough the primeval forest and spleep in tents. Admire the nature and get to know countries and people. Art and culture of all kinds: theatre, opera, museums or literature.

I am the visionary of the family and I am responsible for ongoing development of our establishments. We are a modern company due to thinking outside the box, but still holding on to traditions.

Hobbies:

As a trained gardener, I tenderly look for my plants. Garden work is relaxing, refreshing and inspiring. But I also love to ride my bike, play soccer and make trips with my motorbike.

Each café and restaurant has to be special. The guests have to feel and see unique characteristics. This is what I am responsible for. Changes within the company happen all the time. We develop our establishments and I try to give impulse.

Hobbies:

Spending time with my family and friends, chatting, eating, drinking. Preferably outdoor. I prefer picknick to a 5 star restaurant. A lots of sports, the longer, the better, preferably together. Being at the Danube, especially when the sun is shining.

I am responsible for economical strategies and continuing success of the establishments. Innovations make me happy. Motivation of my employees is very important - I am always present at the cafés. Praise, contructive feedback and small benefits make our work even more beautiful.

Hobbies:

Being in the nature with my dog, preferably at the Lobau or in Waldviertel. Drinking coffee and reading. Every day, I look after my garden, my absolute quiet oasis.

Apart from that, I am responsible for project and communications management, technical innovations and knowledge management of all Querfeld establishments. My family is my role model - I would like to be brave and innovative and stay agil due to low hierarchies and informal structures within the company.

Hobbies:

Travelling the world from under and above the water, living out of the backpack, sleeping in the car and dining in the best restaurants. My dog Mocca. Go jogging in the summer, go snowboarding in the winter. Reading fantasy and scientific papers.
